Deloreans may not be fast but they are fun as hell to own! My friends own Deloreans and they were kind enough to let me drive them. They are a driver's car that give more driver's involvement due to the manual steering and no modern electronics. If you get tired of the stock engine there many horsepower upgrades available. They are also dependable as long as they are kept up properly.

Let me put into perspective just how slow the DeLorean is: 2.9 L V6, 130 hp, 0-60: 10.5 seconds. By comparison, my first-gen Mazda Miata has: 1.8L I4, 130 hp, 0-60: 9.0 seconds.

How did the producers of Back to the Future ever get their DeLorean to 88 mph?

Ahh the American export 308s were rather uglier than their European counterparts I find, thanks to that rather nasty thick front bumper. Maybe fractionally nicer to pedestrians though, who knows? :p

a v6 3.5L camry is actually faster than most cars out on the market. most cars cant fuck with a 270 hp 0-60 6 sec line....v6 is a v6...
