@karlmoles65 I was in a couple of crappy bands, but nothing even close to good. I've always been an Aerosmith fan, have all there albums etc. Same with KISS and Queen for me. I played trumpet in high school band, I was pretty good on that thing, I played it for about 10 years. About all I do now though is listen to the songs from the old days.

@clintonearlwalker I used to be a vocalist in a couple of amateur bands, 90% covers of classic Metal/Hard Rock. Most of my family are musicians but anything stringed has never been my forte. Can't sing worth a damn anymore, I'd scare the crows away now. Wasn't gonna give Halford a run for his money or anything back in the day, I miss being decent enough to get by I suppose.

love the sounds of this song

@karlmoles65 I wouldn't exactly call myself a "guitarist" but the first song I hacked my way through was "Mama Kin" in about 1975. I played bass in the junior college jazz band. (I sucked, the only reason they let me in was because I had a good bass and amp). I liked some of Night in the Ruts, but certainly not my favorite either. I still love the song f-i-n-e though, I may listen to it later, Cheers!!

@clintonearlwalker I used to love Pump in the 80s, hasn't aged well for me though. And sheet music eh? You a guitarist? Night In The Ruts is spotty, it has a few songs I dislike but a few that are awesome, like Think About It.

@karlmoles65 I like some of the songs on Get Your Wings, I have all the sheet music to that album also. I don't like it near as much as Aerosmith though. A Night in the Ruts was a decent album, I ordered a shirt from a coupon that came inside the album, I don't have it anymore though. I don't care for much of their later stuff either with one notable exception, the album Pump. There are several great songs on that album, my favorite is F-I-N-E, always thought it was underrated.

@clintonearlwalker You're quite a fan. Get Your Wings is actually my favorite. Three of my Top 5 Aerosmith tracks ever come from it (1. Seasons Of Wither 4. Lord Of The Thighs 5. Train Kept A Rollin) then comes Rocks, pretty much tied. Then Toys, the debut, Night In The Ruts. More towards the low end Draw The Line and Rock In A Hard Place. I've no use for much, except a song or two from anything past Rock In A Hard Place. To me they lost it and never got it back in the 80s

@karlmoles65 This was their first big album, I was in like 7th grade when it came out. I had the sheet music (still do) to every song. Memorized all the lyrics and chords to every song at one point. I have a VHS of their early shows, they played in some real dives. Many of my high school buddies went to see them, I never did, wish I would have. I like Toys, Rocks, Draw the Line next. Not a big fan of Get Your Wings or Done With Mirrors, but I like several songs on each one.
This is such a generic rock riff but they turned it into a great song
