  • @Cohnmiester We named our dog Naïma too, but we usually call her "Look Out For The Plants".

  • @kirbyderby2000 Not even Wayne Shorter's "Infant Eyes" from the album "Speak No Evil"? Or John's "Lonnie's Lament" from "Crescent" ?

  • @DaveVelo1

I'm just curious, what are you referring to by corny, "moldy fig" jazz? This is the first time I've ever heard of this, as I'm still exploring the world of jazz. Thanks.

  • why did you name her Naima? XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD

  • @Cohnmiester, I would say that says it all. A true inspiration.

  • I love it

  • Naima was the name of Tranes first wife sounds like he was still in love with her

  • Coltrane referred to the evolution of jazz as "American Classical Music". I couldn't agree more. Monk, Coltrane, Davis, Parker and others led the way from corny, "moldy fig" jazz to truly intelligent, beautifully complex rhythms, progressions, melodies that could stimulate your deepest emotions. His "Classic Quartet" was the quintessence of modern jazz in my view.

  • Excelente

  • John Coltrane will live on forever. There is no one that can compare. The music speaks for its self. RIP JC
