  • I have been personaly believed that Yeol Eum Son is the real gold medalist of the Cliburn 2009. Among other finalist who played expressing what difficult pieces they could just play, in the Cliburn, I think that she seemed prominent in expressing wholeness of the true Bach from her soul.

Go for getting a championship in the next competition !

  • What I love about her is that she is real, passionate, feminine, delicate, and she looks like she is enjoying her piano playing as well as producing great music and looking fantastic. This is a huge part of the whole package. She does not come across as some of the men in the Cliburn Competition do: serious, calculating, sweaty, stiff, and aspberger. So - thank you!!!!

  • Her Schuman fantasy pieces were disaster, i heard her more, her left hand in Haydn was a bulldozer, It really was either jury fraud or something else, practically they deprived real talents on this competition and gave to this distalented woman. Jury consisted either idiots or lairs, anyway, people have opinions and understand no less than jury. This competition was nothing but fraud, but is life fair?

  • what a great gal!

  • awesome... this is good to know!

  • maybe descent is the word i would use to describe her English.

  • how can she speak english so fluently?

  • She has a very natural sense for music. Every note is immediately appealing.

  • I used to live in Won Joo, too! Now my son pretends playing piano (since 10 months old). Well, for him it is a serious play. ;-) Thank you for sharing this.

  • I love this Chopin waltz in G flat major so much.
