@WarrenBMyBaby Verdi was an amazing composer, and he was an Operatic composer like Mozart giving him a flair for melody. Nevertheless, people today whistle Mozart's music without realizing it, not Verdi's. Mozart is truly one of the greatest writers of melody in all of music history. This movement isn't about being catchy, it's about saying "FIERY DOOM" which it does quite effectively, even more so if you consider that it was a classical piece.

classicalmusic4ever; read the lyrics of this Requiem (I'll mail them to you if you can't find them, I got them complete in Latin with English translation) and see what the true is about your eternity...! Also to other people; it's magnificient music indeed but Mozart had a message to all of us, only if you listen to it the Requiem answers its purpose...!
