Transonic 9 Volts battery explodes

This battery did explode when subjected to 230 Volts 13 Ampère circuit.

Caution ! This is a dangerous experiment and you need to know what you are doing.
Basic PPE, safety goggles distance and unplug from power source before touching anything to be tested.

Alkaline batteries actually don't leak acid, they potassium hydroxide. It's still caustic though.

I think some 9v batteries are strange, like I had used to use duracell 9v batteries for electronics, but after some started to bulge, and one explode under normal use I never will use duracell batteries again!
