I remember as a kid crying my eyes out when Nester's mommy died. Watching this now, tears are just streaming down my face! My goodness! This was and still is one of my favourite Christmas programs. Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. It brings back so many memories and I hope I can find a copy of this to show my son. ;) This is a great story about individual unique talents and looking different has its pluses! A great story for kids to watch!! :)

If you want this on DVD, try finding "The Year Without a Santa Claus" dvd. It should be an extra.

No Way! This needs to be it's own disc, not share one with the hammy Miser Bros. and that lousy New Year's special!

I agree. I think a proper remake is in order also since it's so short. Rankin/Bass are still alive 'hmmm'
