@SpikyAd I never understood these comments; the story is anything but bland. You can a lot about the game, but the story, as a concept, is fantastic, just a shame about the execution.

Good story. great graphics. my only problem is the combat system. i hate that style but overall i wish i could have gotten through it.

That is true, but it left a lot of PS3 owners with a sour taste in their mouth, especially after how Microsoft obtained the game (I don't buy it, GTA4, FFXIII, DMC4 all are fishy). Anyway, it's good that they let the XBOX 360 owners have a taste of the first game and hopefully stopped them playing Halo for a while, lets hope that they come back for more when Versus comes out.

I'm thinking of buying an XBOX 360, just found a 20gb on ebay for £50, that is nothing. I want to play Vesperia and in the end Microsoft doesn't get the money, everyones a winner.

And the Wii's hardware limitations are only because of the graphics, just lowering the quality Square Enix could overcome that, just look at Black Ops on the Wii.

Those 3 discs had to split the game up, it would be too hard to implement backtracking so SE made the last disc free roam.

@brendude95 And FF being PS3 exclusive isn't good for many gamers, its argumentative why they did not release to the PC; the answer is because FF is a console series at essence and ports of it usually fail.

Also 3:1 profit is not bad considering it is a port and most people play Xbox 360 are American gun addicts.

@brendude95 I have many friends who are Square Enix fans who were unfortunate enough to get an Xbox 360 for Christmas, Eid or Hannukah etc.

You have to remember about where the fan bases majority are, most PS3 users are Japanese and FF series is Japanese gaming culture. And the Wii's hardware limitations are far too much.

FYI, the DVD capacity was overcome, FF13 had 3 discs for the Xbox 360 edition. That wasn't the issue. I plan to get a PS3 in the near future anyway.

The game would have been better off being ported to the Wii than the XBOX 360, the main limitations were in the DVD capacity, a Wii port would have been just as easy if they had significantly lowered the resolution and graphics quality, not to mention it would have picked up far more sales.

Anyway on that point...

The XBOX 360 sales were not great at all, 1.5 million vs 4.5 million, that is a 3:1 split, very abnormal for a large multiplatform game, at this rate you may aswell be arguing why it wasn't on the Wii aswell, it probably would have picked up more sales for christ sake. Taking into account the hardware limitations, alterations to the game such as Westernization and extended development time and fans lost etc, the port wasn't beneficial to Square Enix or fans of the game.

I missed off half a sentence? It still got the same point across didn't it? You said I was ignorant to not realise why would somebody choose an XBOX 360, I asked you to tell me why, its hardly a misquote. Not to mention there is a limit on comment length.
