  • nice

do you think blacksmithing is a good business?

  • Levi,

Depends on location. A blacksmith probably not, but a farrier in horse country, perhaps so.

  • Very cool. I'm getting one of these made from a blacksmith to give my girlfriend for prom.

  • some say if you put it the other way up the devil can get in

  • make not mack

  • lol funny

    your a riot man!!!!

  • if you hang a horse shoe upside down all the luck drains out

  • I dissagree. Blacksmithing is not just working of metal. The thing that is shown here on the film might bye done by ironworker/locksmith (I don't know which word is better here). Saying "true blacksmith" I meant a traditional way of making (here) rose.

  • Blacksmithing is just the working of metal. Many beginners start with copper because it is soft and it has it's particular color. I my self started cold smithing copper way before I forged STEEL. Any modern blacksmith uses steel. And also there are many ways to make a rose. but there is no way of the "true" blacksmith.

  • i wish i could use a coal forge in my shop, damn you city ordinances

  • About the rose: guy went on easy way. The metal he used is not as hard as iron. The true blacksmith art is to make an iron rose from one piece. It is possible, and I've found how at the american blacksmith shop. So even an european blacksmiths can learn from the US ones ;-). But I need more practice to do so. Made already 2 of them and none is good enough for me.
