Es herrscht Krieg! Noctis und Stella gehören zu der Widerstandsbewegung CPR, die sich das Ende der Unterdrückung durch die RSO zum Ziel gesetzt hat. Nach einigen Jahren des Krieges plant die CPR ein Attentat auf den Kopf der RSO. Der Angriff scheitert jedoch, Stella wird gefangen genommen und einer Gehirnwäsche unterzogen. Noctis und die CPR wissen, dass die RSO ein Programm zur Gedankenkontrolle entwickelt und setzen alles daran Stella zu befreien. Doch aus zuverlässigen Quellen haben sie erfahren, dass es zu spät ist um Stella zu retten und sie unter der völligen Kontrolle der RSO steht. Um zu überleben und um die streng geheimen Pläne zu schützen, gibt es nur einen Ausweg: Das schwer bewachte Forschungszentrum stürmen und Stella töten.
Als Noctis sich den Weg zu Stella frei gekämpft hat und diese ihre Waffe gegen ihn erhebt, weiss er, dass es wahr ist. Die einstigen Freunde stehen sich nun mit erhobenen Waffen gegenüber und bekämpfen sich gegenseitig.
Es hat den Anschein als wäre das Gedankenmanipulationsprogramm der RSO ein Erfolg.

It is war! Noctis and Stella belong to the resistance movement CPR, which has set the end of oppression by the RSO to the goal. After several years of war, the CPR is planning an attack on the head of the RSO. The attack failed, however, Stella is captured and subjected to a brainwashing. Noctis and the CPR know that the RSO developed a program to control thoughts and for this reason they must liberate Stella. But they have heard, from reliable sources, that it is too late to save Stella and that she is under the complete control of the RSO. To survive and to protect the top secret plans, there is only one way out: To storm the heavily guarded research center and to kill Stella.
After Noctis has gone to the fight to free Stella and when she raises her weapon against him, he knows that it's true. The former friends are now standing face to face, with upraised weapons, to fight each other.
It seems that the RSO-Program to control thoughts is a success.
