how the hell did we tame cats? Dogs i understand but cats,they are so independent!

right? right??? there are a couple of documentaries on our blog about this - how cats are wild, not domestic animals and how we shouldnt be surprised/disgusted if they bring mice corpses home...

yes i love cats,have 2 & when they bring home their catches i say thank you but i'll pass on sharing with you. I once woke to a huge rat on the bed. A friend said 1 of the reasons they were tamed,we stored grain which lured rodents which lured cats thus we have some wonderful companions & usually cats choose us rather than we choose them,thats how 1 of mine came to me the other i got from cat rescue. There is a great book by Terry Pratchett ''The Unadulterated Cat''.look for it

everything you said is 100% right! and oh my -> sharing rats... but yes, thats whats natural for them and we should feel honoured they share their prey with us - that means they like and respect us. im definitely going to check the book out!

well, exactly - that is my other "big issue" to sort out - the waste. i used to work in hotels and restaurants before and i saw how much food is thrown out. when you add to it every household - the amount thrown out would easily feed those who havent eaten this week... but thats another story for a different channel... point is - everybody needs to start changing the world from themselves...

Think about all the animals that we could save if EVERYONE tried to eat less meat. There are so many people out there who eat so much of it, and the thing that bothers me most of all is the waste. They think nothing about throwing meat away. It's very sad.
