  • So Busted!

  • The justification for hangers requiring all nail holes filled is simply to avoid nails falling out of end grain rotted wood. End grains are known in the lumber trade to absorb moisture. Having a well nailed hanger is a preventative cure. I also that keeps the metal makers in business.

  • by the time you install the joist hanger with ten nails the end of the joist is mincemeat anyway. They should really design a better system.

  • JOIST HANGER PLEASE AND THANKS!

  • that is just so fuckin lazy, buy a rap-a-nail teco gun and blast them out.

  • Damn what animals did that?

  • Nice butcher job

  • a ledger strip won't do shit! joist hangers or maybe squash blocking?

  • looks like they used a decking gun to nail that on
