  • I don't know if this applies more universally, but I've been watching these since the first one, and I couldn't remember who had died. I mean, I have no idea who is dead at all. Clearly the father of the little kid and wife, but I could fall over his body in the middle of the street and not know who he is. Did we ever see that guy? Two weeks is a long time to remember minor character details.

  • The dead guy is Brian the plumber, from episode #6.

  • I've really liked this series to date, but this episode really didn't cut it for me. Especially the "hospital" scene. I realize that this isn't a huge budget project, but if you can't fake a hospital room, at least establish that it was a false alarm and the guy is home. (Personally, I would have at least sprung for some white sheets and a few pieces of tubing from home depot -- would have gone a long way in establishing a sense of place.)

  • We weren't actually trying to fake a hospital room. Viewers were supposed to know that he was home from the hospital and resting in his own room. I thought the way Ava yelled from the other room "Ben's here!" made it clear that they weren't in a public place. Maybe it wasn't clear enough.

  • Not your best effort guys. Brian's acting is pretty crap and the storyline in this episode is boring and doesn't seem to tie into the rest of the series very well. :( Sorry.

  • Brian's acting? Brian is the dead guy. ??

  • is it just me or was that newly-single gay guy totally hitting on ben? anyway, i totally agree with him, it always strikes me as odd when gays are bigots...

  • @3DogPictures

As a poly pagan it makes perfect sense to me! :P

  • I am very fond of this series and have sent many people to view it, but this wasn't my favorite episode. In addition to what others have said in the comments, I would add that I think that the part of Ben's father is a tad ... overplayed. There is a dissonance for me between the way he looks and the use of Yiddish words and inflection. Otherwise, still a favorite series that I'll continue watching. Thanks!

  • Just an update about the baptizing babies problem. Now after it got in the media suddenly priests are jumping to it. Even the ones that refused before.

But they also interviewed a so called relation expert and she claims that polyamory cannot work because if you have a fight with one partner then you run to the other one without solving the conflict. LOL

This is supposed to be a relation expert!

  • I understand but I would also expect related video's like "Love and anything love related"

Yesterday I checked YouTube for polyamorie and we clearly lack up to date video's. .

  • The communities tend to interact with each other fairly often, if only to be with other people who experience discrimination.

  • A new idea for the show.

Here in Belgium a triade had 2 babies at almost the same moment. So they went to church but the priests refuses to baptize the child because they are polyamore. It is all over the newspapers now.

  • Something odd I have noticed, why are Youtube videos of polyamory related to transgender and cross dressing?

There is no relationship between transgender and cross dressing and polyamory. Hey not even related with lesbians and gays.

  • I like the second part best.

I recognize the same of the father when my grandmother discovered that I have a relationship with someone handicapped.

I refuesed to bow down so and choose for my GF without going to my grandmother. Finally after one year my grandmother accepted it and actually liked my GF.

  • I love the show! The writing, acting, & production usually come off as high quality. You do a terrific job!

What I would like is a clearer sense of continuity & smoother transitions between episodes. Your elements of surprise & mystery make me want more, but episodes sometimes seem disconnected. I think that's why I was confused & had to puzzle out the outside-the-church scene in Episode 17.

Writing is tricky. You have to lead the audience every step of the way without it being obvious.
