My son made this film of his Grandfather talking about his experiences in the Royal Navy during World War II especially the D-Day landings on Juno Beach.
Dad passed away in May 2003, Mum died last year. We're very fortunate to have this video

Many thanks for your kind words, This is my late father and recently departed mother.

It was my son who made this video, hence "My Grandad".

Brilliant! I wish I could do that with my grandad now but he is too ill (Alzhiemers). In fact, one of the few things he can speak clearly and with connection is the war. Unfortunately, this is one of the few things he doesn't want to talk about.

Very good. You must be awfully proud of your Dad and your Son. Thats a really great interview with your Dad. I too would give anything to sit down and chat with my Grandfather, but passed on in the 80's when I was just a kid. I would so love to talk to him now. My Grandfathers brother landed on Sword Beach. He was with 45 RM Commando. Unfortunately his LCI was hit and he was killed.

I raise my glass to your Dad, his mates, and to those in my family too.
