An audience question was asked how a reduction of delegates would impact Navajo Nation chapters and if the council remains at 88 delegates how the council will address the needs of the chapters.
The forum was held on December 2, 2009 at Calvin Hall Auditorium at the University of New Mexico Gallup campus.
Navajo Nation Council Delegates: Leonard Chee and Katherine Benally (against the council reduction) participated.
Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley and Council Delegate Leonard Tsosie (for the council reduction) participated.
Cassandra Morgan, UNM Gallup Student Senator, and Eddie Crank of UNM Gallup were moderators.
This forum was organized by UNM Gallup students in the UNM Native American Studies NA Vote class, fall 2009.
