  • Wow! Gus G made some mistakes...

    Soo what? Doesn't every guitarist make mistakes in their lives?

  • besides its about the music anyways not whos the best guitarist. and Firewind by far has the most amazing, technical, and well put together music i have ever heard.

  • @TheDistanceBetween I KNOW!!! people are like "well you just know him cause of ozzy". im like "fuck you! iv been listing to him since before Firewind when he was with Dream Evil and a couple other bands he played with. and since he has become my favorate. besides his work with Ozzy comes no where near his full potential and the shit that ive seen him do. studying Gus has made me a way better guitarist than i thought i would be at this stage in my life. and hes way better than vai was his age.

  • @MrShredtilldead Zakk blows. nobody wants to hear pentatonics and the same boreing shred over and over again. thats my opinion anyways. i got sick of hearing the same shit.

  • @skatezero1260 euh i know that.. and that's what i said...

  • @kevenharbour drop d = standard tuning with low e string tuned to d (DADGBE)

    D Standard is all strings one step down (DGCFAD)

  • @MrShredtilldead Before the Storm, ending to The Fire and the Fury (studio version), Deliverance solo, ending to SKG, The Longest Day, solo to Land of Eternity, and Angels forgive me and solo to that song too.

  • @MrShredtilldead ... {cont.}

    I wasn't saying that Gus G was the best guitarist of all time.. I said that he's my favourite guitarist of all time. ;)

    Oh and i didn't like the new Firewind album.. only one song from it which was SKG. ahaha

  • @MrShredtilldead i've known Firewind since early Burning Earth.. not just because of fuckin' Ozzy.. ever since then i've listened to EVERY Firewind song, and it's not just average shredding.. there are some beautiful composed songs with alot of feeling in them.

    and of course he isn't even close to Via, Satriani, Becker and Gilbert.. because he's only 29 years old now. They're like 40 - 50 years old. They have 10 years advantage.. if you know what i mean. lol

    i'll write next part in next comment

  • @TheDistanceBetween wow...you must have kinda low standards. Besides an above average ability to shred...I don't see anything special. I give you that the first couple firewind albums are pretty decent...but favorite guitarist of all time? He has no where near the impact of Satriani, Vai, Malmsteen, Gilbert, Becker, or the like. Plus the guy hasn't really proved himself to be that sustainable yet. I don't hear anything new with him playing with Ozzy. Wish Zakk was still with him.

  • @stergenakis what you mean is drop d not d tuning :P
