It is obvious that Sam gets most of the recognition from the average people here. He makes simple empirical comments on basic observations with which the average intellect of the viewers here can most easily identify. I suggest you watch the entire Session. This video skips most of Scott's insights.

The answer to Tyson's question is yes, there would still be suicide bomber's even if they had tanks. That is not to say Islamic extremists wouldn't use the tanks, of course they would. The Japanese generals may have sanctioned kamakaze dive bombings for utility sake, but the suicide bomber's themselves were acting on "divine orders", Tyson's question was rather ignorant in that regard. Religion has the ability to brainwash otherwise sane people into a mindset that produces atrocities.

nobody is saying that muslims are the ONLY ones. They are just a major example. Nobody is against only muslims. Christianity and all the rest are just as awful, just in different ways.

Bridgette, I don't think you really need to respond to dalisabe, he's obviously committed to his fake-- sorry, FAITH, and the mindvirus he's infected with will prevent him from accepting any facts or evidence or reasoning which threaten the continuance of the memetic parasite of religion which has a hold over him...

By the way, 2:17-4.33 of this vid is SO going to be my next upload, it deserves to be highlighted - thanks for all your contributions baneoffafnir! :)

If you believe that Muslims are violent by doctrine, why do not you advise the western cultures to pull out their troops, embassies, corporations, intellectuals and ventures from the Muslim land? Why do you feel like it is the moral duty of the west, Israel included as a western culture, to police the violent Muslims around and declare preemptive war against them? You would make a perfect sense if the Muslims did not have oil, resources, and consumer markets, but you make no sense at all. Sorry!

u r the most epic fail i've seen in a long time. i mean serious bat s*%t crazy. U imply sam is a coward cuz he supports withdrawl of troops, and call him a colonialist. LOGIC FAIL. U frankly call suicide bombers romantic. STRATEGY FAIL. Even if u actually feel as u do, surely u recognize that this is a bad strategy for winning the war of ideas, right?

Sam, compassion you are speaking of in this context is something you never would do yourself if you happened to be the victim of occupation, genocide, or slavery. It is like expecting a raped woman to enjoy the sex. Stop twisting things around to advance your expansionist colonialist agenda. In our system of justice, we have no compassion for the criminal who violates the law. Why would you expect it from the victim of oppression? You should expect it from the oppressor, not the oppressed. Duh!
