Jonas Brothers Love Story Ch. 48

Joe turned around satisfied with himself and followed her out to the car. Claira sighed loudly as she opened the door to his black Mercedes and plopped herself in the passenger seat. She reached out to turn up the radio, but Joe caught her hand, which she retracted from his grasp almost immediately.

Joe: We cant just ignore this

Claira studied Joes face while he focused on driving. He swiftly turned his head towards her and she shrugged.

Joe: Claira... you know that Im crazy about you I was just—

Claira: Just what Joe? Looking for someone better? Just a temporary slut you could screw around with? Or maybe Im the temporary slut, probably just your summer fling you would forget about as soon as you jet off around the world. Is that what I am to you Joe?

She looked out the window, avoiding his gaze. She felt the lump creep up her throat, signalling that she was about to start crying.

Joe: You know Im not like that I—

Claira: No Joe I dont think I do.

Joe: I was lonely Claira. She just came on to me, I knew it was wrong, Im so incredibly sorry

Claira: Of course, that explains everything! SHE came on to YOU! That just makes it all better.

Joe: Your sarcastic comments arent helping
Claira: Oh Im so sorry Joe, did I hurt you? Cant imagine what that feels like

Joe drummed his fingers impatiently on the steering wheel.

Joe: Look Claira, Im sorry. I really truly am. I know that your angry, and you have every right to be. But I get enough shit from everyone else; your little rant is going nowhere. So just-- just stop

Claira looked over at him; his face was hardened and slightly pissed. She kept quiet until she caught glimpse of a bouquet of white lilies in the backseat.

Claira: What are the flowers for?

Joe: They were for you. I was going to give them to you when you forgave me

Claira stiffened her neck awkwardly.

Claira: There my favourite

Joe: What?

Claira: Lilies. There my favourite flower

Joe: I know, you can take them if you want

Claira: No, no you keep them

Joe: Seriously Claira, take them. What the hell would I do with flowers?

Claira: Give them to your new girlfriend

Joe took his eyes off the road for two seconds to lock eyes with her.

Joe: I dont want a new girlfriend

Claira kept her eyes on her hands fiddling in her lap. Her heart was about to jump right out of her chest.

Joe: I only want you Claira. There is no one else anymore. I made a mistake, and I promise you, it will never happen again

Claira: I dont know Joe

The car pulled onto a long curvy driveway, with a red-bricked building at the end of it. The sign on the front read: Musicians Institute

Claira: Where are we?

Joe: Youll see

Joe opened up the door for her, ushering her through. Kevin, Nick, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas, Serena, and Ally were all there. And they made sure to make there Happy Birthday greeting as loud as possible.

Claira: Thank you so much guys, but I dont know what were doing here

Kevin: Through those doors are some of the finest music producers ever to walk this earth. And they want to hear you sing.

Claira: What? No way!

Ally: I sent them a demo of you singing I found on your laptop, they wanted you to come by today so they can hear you sing in person

Claira: I dont know what to say! Thank you guys so much, this is my dream. Im so nervous though!

Claira bunched them all together for a group hug.

Mrs. Jonas: Go on hun, there waiting

Claira adjusted her shirt and opened the large double doors, fingers crossed.

I'm super-de-dooper sorry I haven't posted in like a month. My computer had some huge virus and I had to re-write the whole ending cause I lost all the files. I think it's pretty much the same though, hopefully.
SO this is one of the last chapters, there is a few more I think. Hope you likee and leave me some love in the comment box even though I probably don't deserve it. love youu allll anywayy
