This film is comprised of various clips I made while driving my 1931 Model A Ford Pickup down Old Rt 66 from Joliet IL to Pontiac IL on Sunday, May 6th 2007. The other Model A's are members of the Joliet Region Model A Restorer's Club. www.jolietmarc.org
Movie is set to Chuck Berry's version of "Route 66". I claim no rights or ownership of the music, only the video.
Great video. Fantastic car. Can never get enough of footage of enthusiasts' journey on the Mother Road. Thanks for the posting, brother.

most of it was repaved and is still called 66 in some places or it has a newer identity and that's from Illinois to Oklahoma City, Starting from OKC to California it lies parallel to Interstate 40 and you can still see some of the old road on the north side of the interstate, I know of places in east Oklahoma where the original hardtop mortar is still intact going into old towns, the quality of cement in those days was about 10X better I think.

Not much left of it. I tried a few times in the 80's and 90's. Drove on the real deal through New Mexico (I 40 wasn't built through there yet) back in 1970 on our way west with my parents, fabulous experience. It's a real "Lost America. " Can't get there from here any more.
