I love her cuz you cant keep her down...when she finished w/ Broadway, she did Fame..when that ended, she went into more acting, when her acting career fizzled, she went into directing and producing...and no matter where her career has gone, she's always been able to fall back on choreography. If I can think of one word to describe how durable and productive she's been in the face of not doing one thing better than anyone else, I would call her the most PREPARED woman in the business.

This was from the Essence Awards of 1992 that was televised for the first time. This show changed my life. It was filled with inspirational women and their stories.
