You sound good, but I think you are missing the point. This is a very somber song, and Brad tried to capture it as such, and also tried to emulate Nick Drake's style of singing, by playing very behind the beat. I think you ought to not play this particular tune this way, as it is a very solemn vibe.
You sound great though, keep it up.
