  • I think only in Hawaii this song was played on the airwaves here. Kool song from Bacharach and a local girl from Hawaii and her group. Sounds innocent and cute.

  • Love this song. Brings me back to my senior year of high school in Hawaii. Thanks for posting this.

  • @claysadventures Ohhh! (I hug you)

Yeah, this is a very sweet song, made me feel soft all of a sudden.

  • I love this song....I taught all my students how to dance to this. It is the blend of all worlds as the dances come together to represent the love of all human beings. When I first choreographed it, it was not well-received....it was done with no dishonor to my Hawaiian culture. It was to express the beauty of how Hawaiians accept all walks of life! ~ Charmaine Lee

  • Cute...so wholesome too...

  • Thank you for this song. I'm from Hawaii. I heard this song in the 70's. Liz Damon has a lovely voice.

  • @Azishome She is still in Las Vegas

  • @clayludicrous Yes. You're right. Really amazing how much she sounds like Miss Karen. By the way--and I realize I'm intruding here--I've read about the comments you've traded with some people. I appreciate and encourage you to be glad about who you are and where your family has come from. (I liked your Pidgin comment, too.) I am American Indian--I don't accept the Native American thing. My great-great-grandfather was the last traditional leader of our tribe. Again, great to know you.

  • @Azishome Ever since I stumbled onto this link... I keep listening to it and I STILL hear Karen Carpenter in my mind!!! I think Liz Damon had the voice that was the CLOSEST sounding to Karen's don't you think?
