  • You're welcome. (My delay in replying comes from YouTube just forwarding your comment to me two weeks aftwer you made it!) I love that Francoise is still making vital new music: Check out Tant des Belles Choses, her 2004 CD. The title track in particular is exquisite!

  • @countrypaul I quite agree, but have noticed now (thanks to surfing around a bit here), that this song was covered in German & French translations already in the late '50s early '60s. Johnny Halladay, for one, did it. It seems likely that Francoise was prompted by those covers, in addition to (or maybe even rather than) the original. I'd still have to say though, that while not bad, those other covers are really not in the same league with this plaintive yet powerful rendition in English.

  • A hidden gem indeed. Thanks for posting. And thanks, CountryPaul, for mentioning the Teddy Bears original (also new to me). In comparison, I like their back-up arrangement better, especially the awesome twangy guitar bass line (inexplicably not replicated in this cover) but Mlle Hardy's voice is of course superb, and perfectly suited to this tender little ballad.

  • WOW! One of my favorite Phil Spector compositions, originally by The Teddy Bears on Imperial. I never knew anyone covered it! Mlle. Hardy is to be complimented on her excellent taste in music! When was this cut? Is ther a higher-fidelity version available? I'm blown away that this ixists. Thank you, Erika!

  • New to me Erika...Thank you for a fabulous upload!!!

  • Wow nice to hear for first time (treasure new to me) Thank you!!!!!!

  • Love it!

  • Wow! What a great surprise. I am unsure why all these unreleased, great songs are still kept locked up in a studio. Same for Les Glaces, Des yeux d'enfant, Nuit d'ete, Poisson and Tu t'amuses. Thanks for sharing!!
