This was one of the very first 45's I ever bought as a kid.. was 11 when this came out.. RIP Gerry.. You still resonate thru my musical tastes and today's music is so lame compared to the 70s.

Gerry was sooo gifted. He had such restraint on some songs that you just want to "belt out". I bought "City to City" the day it hit my local record store and never stopped appreciating the soul in his voice, that never would have been, were it not for the struggles he had. Despair births blues and is translated by the soul in the voice. I luv ya Gerry. Thank You for sharing your soul.

I came to listen to this song because it was used in a Doctor Who Confidential episode. Coincidentally both Gerry's daughter and one of the 10th Doctor's companions were named Martha!
