Job 1:There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job was perfect because he Eschewed Evil or Kept the Commandments..
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect....Jesus tells us to be perfect the measuring stick is the Law you do the best you can and through Jesus all things are possible.

yep, and Genesis 15 is some of strongest text for showing that...& I like how you pointed out Abe's subsequent lack of faithfulness, since God's repeating the covenant promise over & over in scripture even *after* Abraham & Israel sinned just confirms that it does not depend on the faithfulness of Abraham or Israel, but is unconditional, unilateral.
Deu 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if
we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath
commanded us.....Even Abraham's Righteousness came with the Keeping of the Commandments...Faith without Works is Dead
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath
faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is
dead, being alone.

The key word in Deut. 6:25 is "all". This only applies is have always obeyed all of Gods law, have you done that?
Genesis 15:6 says Abraham was declared righteous because he believed what YHVH told him (verses 4-5).
In regards to James 2:14, what kind of faith is being addresses there: dead or living faith?
