@paladindarknite you've got one punch to knock me out ....if you miss and stay within my reach ... you are mine... as simple as that.... jiu jitsu (the art of softness)
@marekmaxpabianice Yes but like I said. Any martial artist worth half of his salt knows that experience and conditioning is most important when it comes to fighting. Techniques only supplement that said experience. Don't get me wrong though, those technique might be the difference between losing and winning
A TKD black belt who has only practiced Katas and point based sparring will most likely have their ass beat by a street brawler whose been fighting almost every or so day.
@HowToDoCalculus experience is very important but the tool you use is much more important! It is really strange that we still have a conversation like this. Let's take shotokan, it is not a full contact sport, take a shotokan blackbelt (at least 5 ys of experience) and a kickboxer who has been training for the last two years... it would take a few seconds... of course if the shotokan guy knew that he had to modify his art and spent a few months doing that, it would be ok...
@ZomBLord That is not true! There are good and useless martial arts, well... most of them are useless and people think that they will spend 25ys they will know how to fight... then they meet a bjj or a thaiboxer with a 1 year experience and... it takes a few seconds.... I used to practice a lot of MAs and can tell you... people will buy everything as the master tells them it is great...
DAM!

@marekmaxpabianice Wrong. It all comes down to experience. The one with more fighting experience will likely win. It is as simple as that.
And when I meant fighting experience, I meant full contact sparring and training.
