  • Now that is real dedication, barring over one of these V 16s.I bet it sort of get's you

a little Breathless!!.I would love to be involved with these old German Engines

and Transmissions.I know they were built by Hawker but it is a German design and therefore built to very high tolerances. These Locomotives would have been running up until the late 90s or

even the mid 21 Century if they had been

treated in the proper manner. The Warships were "THRASHED" Day in and Day out.14 Coach Trains.

  • I was working at Swindon works when this loco was withdrawn from BR

Well done to everyone looking after her in the proper manner.

  • Is the preheater a burner heating inlet manifold?

do u have to bar it over before every start up or had it been stood a while?

is it to be sure no liquid is in cylinders?

  • Hi Warship. That's 2 full engine revolutions we barred it over for which is 1 full 4 stroke cycle.
