Genting Highlands Resort,Malaysia pt 1 of 3

The brainchild of uncle Lim the Builder, who dared to acquire a mountain from the state , spend his money on building a road and infrastuctrure up to the peak where he built a casino, and thrived on the region's Chinese obsession with gambling.
Like the British rubber planters and other Chinese pioneers and a non-interfering government of that era and despite ever present covetous,envious and jealous country-men , they created the modern Malaysian economy and created employment.
Today his gambling business has expanded to Singapore and other industries such as Cruise Liners, and Genting remains mainly natural and unspoilt and is a great family retreat for its clean environment and its theme park and unique temple.Visiting the retreat is like entering another world.
Currently the Genting empire has expanded to Miami,Florida.
