  • whats amazing is how much the sport has progressed. Ueli did the climb with no ropes in 2 hours 45 .  That is just mindblowing.

  • I recommend to read the book written about John Harlin by his son (also named John Harlin). The book's called "The Eiger Obsession. Facing the Mountain That Killed My Father", published by Simon & Schuster in 2007.

    In the book there is no mention of a video that anybody actually filmed the accident, so whatever is shown in this video is not the actual accident...
