  • She's an incredibly good sport here, consistent with the personal warmth she exhibited throughout her career. Whan an angel!

  • She has a normal body type, but she is wearing a zilion yards of fabric.

  • A real treasure is Miss Arlene Francis.

  • "Is that a B-flat?" LOL!

  • @delightfulstar Thanks for the additional information.

  • @mhb659221 Yes, she plays Cole Porter's "Night And Day" in this clip - it was a one-off, just for IGAS. For "Mrs. Dally," she also had to learn "After You've Gone."

Norman Paris, the leader of the combo that played on IGAS for many years, was a fixture in the nightclub/supper club scene for many years. He was married to Dorothy Loudon, the Broadway musical actress. He and his trio also appeared on Arlene's "Home" show, and there is footage of them performing on that program here on YT.

  • @delightfulstar - The song she plays is "Night and Day" by Cole Porter.

  • Was this revealed first on I've Got A Secret or What's My Line ?

  • I had nevere even heard of this lady before finding her on You Tube on Whats My Line. I would sooner see these clips of her, than any of this X Factor , Master Chef in the Jungle on Ice or any other rubbish that portrays for entertainment in the UK today.

  • Ms. Francis is such a great sport! Very talented, yet very unassuming and self-deprecating. She sounded rather badly, but both she and the audience had a good laugh. Nice lady!
