Ulysses S. Grant was the last U.S. President to own slaves so I'm sure he rolled over in his grave when the military was integrated with black people in 1948 and he rolled over in his grave again when interracial marriage was legalized. Robert E Lee called slavery a necessary discipline and said he had more sympathy for white slave owners than for the slaves themselves. We need them to keep rolling over in their graves because whenever they do, we know we are moving towards equality and justice.

"Marriage" is a legal term, used in family, tax, probate, criminal and real estate laws. And churches have NO authority over the use of the word. If they want a different term used, let them come up with 'sanctified union' or some such. It isn't, never has been and never will be what churches are willing to "allow."

At :06 to the left of your screen, the statuesque, auburn-haired clergywoman you see is the Rev. Vanessa Rush Southern. She's the head minister at the church where I go. We're all proud of her and the history she made that day at West Point Chapel. Take that, Pat!!

Wrong ideas are like milk, souring quickly in the brigh light of day, with not an ounce of wisdom to pass on to the next generation. Robertson is all sour milk.

Leviticus? That's Old testament, "boy", not the New one. No Jesus-y wisdom there. Read your own damn book instead of looking for Bible quotes on Google and then telling people to read. How ironic. But also, how unsurprising.

"When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites WHO LOVE TO PRAY PUBLICLY on street corners and in the synagogues WHERE EVERYONE CAN SEE THEM. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get." - Matthew 6:5, CBN.COM

The only "cherished institution" any TRUE Christian should have is the Kingdom of God.

Robertson should read his CBN.com online Bible, Matthew 6:9 & 10, which reads:

"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven."

Then, Robertson should read Matthew 6:33...

"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

To learn the genuine truth about Pat Robertson's own military record, just google:

    Pat Robertson McCloskey Lawsuit People

There is an article in the People magazine archive that tells all about how Pat Robertson's politician father pulled strings to make sure that his son did not go into active combat.

Pat Robertson sued decorated marine veteran Pete McCloskey who revealed this information, only to drop the suit when numerous witnesses came forward and began backing it up.

Did Jesus give you the right to judge others and to condemn them? No, he did not.He gave you a Golden Rule. You might consider following it,it is a much better example of Christian charity.Doing otherwise only places yourself firmly into a category of people who are judged and condemned for hypocrisy by others who do the same.Is that really where you prefer to be? Are you really a spirit filled Christian or do you just say that to make yourself feel better and look good to others like yourself?
