Demi's POV

I step out of my car, turning towards the man that I fell in love with. He stepped closer to me, kissed my forehead and whispered in my ear: "Without you, so many more lives would've been killed. Without you, my heart would die also." That was all he said before he turned around and left, without a single sound following him. I slightly tear, for I know that I may not see him for a long while, and already, my heart filled with pain and sorrow, but I will never regret what has happened. It was all uhh, about 10 years ago, when I was only 15 and he was 17. I was just moving in. I remember it well...

Demi: Mom! It's so beautiful here!
Mom: It is honey, come on, let's go find our new apartment. We need to put our old lives behind us and look for the future!

My mom was constantly like that. After my father left with my sisters, she's been wanting to forget about the whole thing. Forget about everything, and start all over. I was missing my old friends. Missing how they always hugged me, telling me that they cared, over and over again. Well, I loved my mom and I did this to please her. We went over to the apartment owners office and we went to go receive our keys. After getting our keys, I raced over to the apartment door, skipping like a little girl who was getting ice cream. I quickly unlocked the door and ran in, spinning around, like a ballerina on crack. I stared at the ceiling, which was made of stained glass. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I stepped outside to take a few deep breaths before jogging towards my car to go buy some groceries. Before I could even make it to my car, I tripped. Great. My first day here and I'm already a klutz. How fail. I got up and looked up, and in front of me was this girl, looking a little like a kid, but she was my age, 15. She looked like a 15 year old stuck in kids clothes. "Hi! I'm Selena Gomez! :D" She said with a big smile. I smiled slightly, despite the fact that she was a little over-perky. "Demi Lovato. Nice to meet you." I told her, holding my hand out. To my surprise she grabbed me into a huge bear hug. This girl needed to get something to calm her down. A tazer, perhaps? She was hopping up and down, making me even more scared of her. Suddenly I heard a shout. "HEY! YOU TWO! NO STANDING IN THE GRASS" It shouted. We looked over towards the voice while scooting off the grass. I guess, maybe, even though she was extremely hyper, it would be okay, cause I kinda just made my first friend here is Tennessee. But I knew that I wouldn't be complete, until I found the one thing I desperately wanted: Love.
