Jim Lindsey - Highway 40 Blues - Steel Guitar - Whatta Band

This one is uploaded totally by request from a steel player friend of mine, Danny Dees, who really loves this song. In nearly 30 years of playing music for a living there's been less than a handful of times that I ever drank alcohol and "got a buzz" on stage ... but, in this case I have to admit I was feeling "pretty good". It was my birthday in 1988 and we (Whatta Band) were at a club in Canada. Learning it was my birthday, the owner kept sending up shots of Black Sambuca (licorice liqueur) which, by the 3rd set, had my head spinning. To my horror, we ended up doing the fast moving "Highway 40 Blues" to take us into break time and caught it on tape. So, for my buddy Danny who sent so many emails requesting it, here it is. :-)
