  • Yeah we've had three decent snow storms the 2010/2011 season on the island so far which has been interesting....I remember the 2006 storm, I got a week off school that year!

  • They are expecting a bad winter this year

  • I will let you know I thought the same thing you just did when I first moved here from Alberta...I won't dare drive in this snow...in AB the snow had grip cause it was cold and stuck to the frozen ground...fine to drive on...here its snow on top of water because the ground never really freezes....much different and hard as hell to drive in...I don't mind if the cities in the lower mainland close when this happens, better safety for all in the end

  • Beware! when Victoria gets 2 cm of snow, everybody just gets stupid! Cars in ditches, they cancel school, people calling work saying there snowed in, ferries cancelled! they pretty much shut the city down until the 2 cm of snow melts around lunch time. It's pretty funny.

I'm from northern Ontario we get 6 feet of snow, 40 below, and love it, mabe not the 40 below as much

  • Cool vid., but I was expecting to see snow covered palm trees. First thing I do here when it snows, grab the camera and photograph the snowy palms. Makes for a cool pic.

  • its great if you can afford the housing. colwood or langford, about 10 km north of victoria, are more affordable, but still cosidered part of victoria

  • This is cool. Might move to Victoria sometime soon!

  • Nice!
