These licks are great for any style of music and for electric or acoustic. Just a cool couple of open G licks. Enjoy.

  • that guitar is beautiful what kind is it?

  • @TheGarrettsee Thank you very much. This is the Washburn PS11. It has a SUPER preamp in it and plugged in, sounds every bit as wonderful as my Martin costing 10X as much. I love this axe.

  • Was just wondering about open tuning. If my song Is in the key of G, which open tuning should I use to get a bluesy slide solo? Not sure which tuning is best. I'm thinking open E, but maybe I'm wrong. Could you help please?

  • @mikeyrockstar1 The very best tuning is standard tuning. Open tunings are pretty much a waste of time unless you are a dobro or lap steel player. So, no matter what you've heard from anybody (famous or not), open tunings are not really a useful thing. You can get 99% of the open tuning licks from standard tuning if you know how to do it. I have lesson videos that make tuning your guitar differently obsolete. Find me at groovymusiclessons dot c o m and I'll take that nasty stuff out of your head.

  • @groovydjs Ok so Ry Cooder, Elmore James, Eric Clapton and many more ( including me ) have been wasting time for years. Thanks for letting me know. I will recommend your lessons to people who wants to play like their teacher and not like themselves

  • @murphysound ..........and then in walk dumbasses like this. Yes, I have no doubt that you have wasted your life, and now my time. I always encourage all of my tens of thousands of students to NEVER copy anybody. You have one foot in the grave old man, you can put that other one in there anytime you want, you won't be missed.

  • great tips, but i was looking for open g, rather then using g in standard. But great anyway, learnt it and will use it

  • I see this attitude of entitlement all over YouTube and it makes me sick. Cant people just appreciate what other people such as this man are doing for others. By the way Sir, great lesson and Thank You :)
