Pulled Pork Recipe from SimpleFoodie.com. A classic barbeque recipe that every serious grillmaster must try. You have your slowly smoked pork that just falls off the bone topped with a savory vinegar dressed coleslaw between two pieces of bread. It just doesn't get any better. A crowd pleaser.

  • Being from NC, and having eaten at most places east and west, this is nothing like true eastern nc bbq.

    Basically, this a pork sandwich with slaw on it. But to call it eastern nc pulled pork is inaccurate. The meat is wrong. The slaw is wrong. And the sauce is wrong. Sliced Onions? Reallly?

    For real eastern or western nc bbq, just go to ncbbqcompany. It's the real deal. And they deliver it to your door.

  • From a long time cook and food writer (and East Carolina native.) This is ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!! Eastern Carolina BBQ is for one, a whole hog slow cooked for at least 8 hours. Whoever did this video knows nothing of Eastern Carolina BBQ. I am insulted by this. I certainly hope this isn't how you make your living

  • Until I watched this, I didn't know squat about Carolina barbeque. But in Silicon Valley, CA, I make pulled pork in a CookShack electric smoker oven, then mix it with my BBQ Sauce for Amateurs recipe to get a great tasting sandwich. At least, there have been no complaints so far.... Thanks for a great video!

  • Wow, I agree totally with thumperola... I live in TX now but i'm originally from a little town near the NC coast! I just want a good cole-slaw recipe! I can make the shoulder actually right in my oven...

    The slaw is definitely all wrong!

  • This is a funny, half ass way to make east carolina bbq! Sorry, but it is! Im from there and i can tell you, this is WAY off!!!

  • If you need a knife and thongs to pull the pork apart It's NOT PULLED pork

    Use the wood chip idea I use jack danlles wiskey barell wood chips soak the wood chips for 20mins and put in a few dry ones ..for the rub in canada we use montreal steak spice I also use a few "other" things im not sharing lol ..you can also spray the meat now and then with apple juice / cider i use wiskey or beer pork/chicken

  • Is it just me or does that pork look far too tough, not in the true classic fall of the bone style. It should be cooked in a more humid environment for a longer period of time, at a low temperature (ie, 215 for 12 hrs)
