  • Is there any way you could draw up a schematic for this? Trying to make something along the same lines and really think this is awesome!! Thanks!

  • @TheGuitarwizard94 Well its really simple. Just connect the motors using four pins to a array of transistors and from ther to each motor. For the control just connect the potentiometer to one of the ADC pins in the PIC. What don't you know how to connect?

  • @Twistx77 well I'm just new at this and have probably most of the mechanical parts. Not really any of the electronic parts like the transistors and stuff but all of the motors. Just looking for a better understanding of how it works more or less. Thanks for the response!

  • @TheGuitarwizard94 I would suggest you to start by looking how those motors work and how to use the transistors.

  • @BataQ That was basically my idea too :) the problem for me where that the motors are not strong enough in my case, maybe to drill... :)

  • @Twistx77 hm that could be a problem, but since I have a lot of motors that are sitting unused I could try to combine something. Well my first idea was to make a CNC drill for PCBs, and use a small modeler drill for that, think that could work. Well thanx for the hints and the idea :)

  • @BataQ Great! Theres only a downer in this proyect and is the fact that the motors in most scanners/printers ar not strong enough for milling at least if you use them the way I did. But you can still use it if you want to use it as a plotter or maybe if you buy a laser for it :)

  • god bless you man, i just dismanteled an old HP ink-jet and have also an old non-functional scanner and was thinking about what I could do with it, and here's this excellent idea. Thanx! :D. Btw good movie.
