Orthodox Christians mark today Zadusnice (≈All Souls' Day), commemorating the departed cousins and friends. They visit graveyards while mass is served in churches.
The Serbs in Kosmet mark this year's Zadusnice again by going, escorted by police, to mainly desecrated graveyards.
Some 300 Orthodox believers from north Kosovska Mitrovica visited the graveyard in the south of the town this morning.
They again came across a horrid scene -- monuments at the graves of their beloved were destroyed.
Pieces of monuments were so scattered that it took relatives a long time to find burial sites of their beloved.
At the time of Zadusnice, the graveyard in the south of Kosovska Mitrovica was secured by KPS and UNMIK.
Some 30.000 Kosmet Serbs, temporarily residing in Kraljevo, were not able to visit graves of their beloved. The mass was served in Kraljevo.
