I don't get why some people (hipsters?) complain about music genres. I find them rather useful especially on music services as last fm where I discover amazing music I like each day, only because millions have labeled it in to genres. It might not be the best system, some genres may be stupid or wrong. But it's hell of a lot better then nothing. If it had not been I wouldn't listen to half the shit I do today, there would be no network.

@VIOLENTMADMIKE Well, let me explain (I was there). This is a soundcheck footage, these guys that walk around are club's staff and the girl is the sound engineer's assistant. The video was made secretly, not that we were hiding from somebody or something, we just didn't want to disturb neither the band nor the crew while they were doing their job. Finally, it came out as an interesting scene - Jesu is playing in the background while some people walk around in a surreal manner.

The world to me appears to be changing, I'm just starting a post-rock group, two guys, thats it. All of the best music is hidden well deep away from us, fuck disney bullshit, censored rock, hard-core, hip hop and pop. Leave music as is, no genre. Thats how it should have been from the start. We classified music and slapped a label on art. I understand why jesu has never made music videos, because its not about him, its about the music, ur path to enlightenment is in your experience.

Not very many people ever make it this far in the realm of music to discover JESU. For me, when I found that band by accient here on Youtube, it began to grow an enlightenment, an inspiration, a hope inside of me, and Justin Broadrick had pulled me through some tough times, now I want more of his music, I wanna be just as inspirationable to others as he is to me. I want the world to open its eyes, break away from the main stream noise vomit we call art and music. This is true art, true music!

my mom is in the band.

fuck yeah

Actually, it's kind of like what Swans did later in their career. Listen to the song In My Garden, it's beautiful. You can definitely see an influence.

@BlackSunHorizon Kinda makes sence he almost went back to his books of realy slow like SWANS but this is more calming then SWANS ever were.

Wow, I came to listen to some Jesu and wandered into a group of fucking highschoolers
arguing over whos in the band or not. Its all about the goddamn music anyway, not about whos in the group.
