The 1883 classic banjo tune by Horace Weston, this time slower for more funk. MP3, Vorbis, Theora, Flac on my blog at:

I'd be interested in reactions to the recording quality. I didn't process the sound at all because I liked the way it captured the room I was recording in. But maybe it just sounds amateurish and thin instead of flavorful and atmospheric.
It's not the first version I've done by a long shot, I think it's the 5th actually, and it probably won't be the last. For some reason I keep finding new things to do with this tune.
Played on my vintage 1923 Gibson L-3 guitar.
fine fine job!

I usually fiddle around with subtle effects to give the guitar a bit more presence. Compression. Light reverb for body. Maybe a noise gate or bandpass filter to clean up slop.
I'd do more if I had the equipment and chops. These acoustic guitar solo things need to fill up just as much space and have just as much kick as full band things.
