  • This is bull, college gurantee only a piece of paper

  • The statistic that those who have a degree would make more in their lifetime then those who don't were obviously calculated from those who got their degrees decades ago when degrees actually meant something. These days, so many people have degrees, it's not an advantage anymore. Besides, everyone now knows that most college students aren't really there to learn, they're just there because it's a "necessary" requirement for jobs.

  • I am currently taking music performance in college. Student debt isn't a problem for me, but time management is. And the things I'm learning I could've learned on my own. I'm planning on starting a band and I really don't think a piece of paper will help me with that. I have two great jobs, one paying $12/ hour and another $10/hour, but I'm unable to work more for them because of college. I just feel like it's a big waste of time and money. What do you think I should do?????

  • You'll learn much more in the military more than you ever will at university. They really do give you life changing discipline and leadership skills to help you with whatever life throws at you.

  • goin to college is like goin to casino u make bet about a certain major and bet that major will b in demand if not in demand u r fuk

  • The word of "the College degree is an investment" is already heading to the wrong way. you just associate knowledge with money. how can you do better where all you think is money ?

  • @GrimPrince

Very True. There is also tons of evidence that shows that college has gotten drastically easier over the last 40 years. I know people take offense, but they have to face the reality that the degree their Grandparents got in the 50's isn't the same degree they got in 20??.

  • i have not watched this yet, but by the look on theire faces im guessing he wil say... yes...

  • If you have a very practical goal (teacher, lawyer, doctor, etc), then college is of course necessary. Otherwise, it's pretty much a waste of time. One "career consultant-specialist" told me once that most college courses are just "hobbies" and lead nowhere.

Over the years, merely having a degree has lost its prestige ... big time.

    Plan accordingly, boys and girls.

  • College is for partying and beer pong!!

  • will need a degree in college...but if its filmmaking, architect, design...well you only need some type of example of your work so you can show them what type of experience you have or if your good enough to hire...but what i think is that you have to try your very hardest to be the best of what you wanna do...and just by knowing how to do your job correctly, thats your own degree so you can be hired :)

  • @Legacyleg3nd Yeah, I'm going into Petroleum! Go engineering!
