A very special message from me to you.

(No, this does not apply to anyone who merely thought his performance was more than satisfactory. This is directed at a different sort of fan.)

  • @Mercenary78 He did a great job, I don't deny it and also he was very good for the role!! I think Ledger created a new character rather than portrayed a Joker, you can see it from his personality, which is really different from what The Joker should be!! The truest Joker you can see he's the one in TAS, scary, unpredictable and completely crazy, even a step beyond than Nicholson, so you take that as a model and can say Ledger is not The Joker!! Great playing anyway, he really did his best!!

  • @annie10103 Have you read my other comments?? I'm not saying Ledger was bad or not good, I JUST SAID HE IS NOT THE JOKER, and this is why his lines are not in the Joker's style!! The Joker would never say that kind of things, he sounds like a psychiatrist rather than the real Joker!! And if you want to open a debate, I'm not the kind of person who insults other people, so please don't be unpolite, it is not fair in a civil discussion!! You can insult Ledger if you want, but not me!!

  • I tried to find different opinion on this joker but everybody only repeated the same shit so I'm glad to see this.

  • Jack Nicholson played the joker.

    Heath Ledger was the joker.

  • I HATE THAT PEOPLE ARE COMPARING THEM. JUST STOP!!!!!! THEY BOTH DID A FANTASTIC JOB!!! RIP HEATH

  • @annie10103 Comments are too long, I'll send you a private message.

  • @funzi159 Each of these Joker portrayals are different. Cesar = the hyper Joker. Hamil = The GOD of all Jokers. Jack = The funny one. Heath = The chaotic one.

Ledger wasn't supposed to resemble the Joker completely. I mean, Heath even took part of Alex DeLarge's character for god's sake. He's mean to be dark and realistic, somebody who causes people to panic and break down. Even though there are little to no humorous parts in TDK, you have to admit Ledger nailed the laugh.

  • @funzi159 Are you kidding me? Nicholson's acting was decent at best. His characters are all the same, hammy, predictable, bland. And people have the nerve to call Ledger overrated when Nicholson is one of the most overrated actors to ever grace the screen! Not to mention his tantrum when he wasn't offered to be the Joker in TDK. He's a seventy year old man. He can't just jump into these roles again.

  • @funzi159

Heath looked at the anarchy side of The Joker. The part that wanted to show everyone that they were only a step away from madness. But the difference is that in the film it's Harvey The Joker targets, not Gordon. If you can't see the little subtle parts in The Dark Knight that relate to The Killing Joke, you're obviously not looking into it far enough. The Joker isn't a schemer in The Dark Knight! He even says so. I'm beginning to doubt if you even watched this film.

  • @annie10103 In TDK Ledger was darker than Batman, he was never making jokes, he was just planning to kill, kidnap and destroy, he doesn't make you laugh, he is predictable and most of all he is too serious, in TDK he is almost like Batman, while in the original story he plays tricks to make Batman nervous, he likes that, like a mad man with the brain of a child!! Ledger doesn't resemble anything of the original Joker, check Bob Kane's idea, not Nolan's reinvention!!

  • @annie10103 If you take Ledger's Joker and put it in another context he works, because he is a lunatic, a mad man, someone with a plan, so he can be in any other movie, while The Real Joker only exists in Batman's world, because he is fantasy, a clown who kills, an anarchist with no plan but "his face on the one dollar bill". Finally, The Joker is the opposite of Batman, he works because he is not serious and likes to play, while Batman never laughs and he is dark and doesn't speak too much!!

  • @annie10103 "The Killing Joke" was written but not followed by Nolan, his realistic approach does not allow things like "people in acid vats, white skin, permanent grin", he wants glasgow smile, make up and just a sociopath who tries to tear down the city!! The Real Joker doesn't care, he is an anarchist, he does what he wants, either it is to kill someone or tell a joke!! In fact, TKJ he always tells jokes, LIKE NICHOLSON, while Ledger was just a regular psycho!!
