Nice video, where are you from?
I´m from Brazil and have a GS 500 E 2008, the naked version. unfortunately in Brazil we don´t have the option to buy the GS500 F, and I´m impressed how beautiful is the F version.
The most important is that this bike is beautiful in any versions dont?
Excuse the errors in my english ok?

Rules don't apply to motorbikes, only to cars :p~

@alphaman1101 Yeah, I've had to rebuild mine twice now, and its in the shop for the third rebuild as of right now. I mean they are good looking, quick bikes, but they weren't built to raise hell all the time, lol.

@Shags14 TELL ME ABOUT IT! although i only red lined it once since i had it it only took a month to throw the bearing for a spin and the whole engine dead.. A whole month to get back from the shop!

@britt890 That's why it's preferable to add engine protectors, whatever you call them, naked or not. And fairings can't act as a shield as they don't have the capacity to protect your engine or frame. They're as brittle as biscuits.

@rswickx525 The GS 500 has always been considered a commuter bike, and a decent one at that, but Suzuki had added a few touches to it like the sport bike fairings on the F version. By the way, the GS is a parallel twin not a V2. If it were, it would've had better torque, in my opinion.
-
@Jeffp2k5 Dont redline it all the time. They have a short stroke, and they will throw rods very easily!

LoL do your 0-100 on an empty road!! brainless.

@rswickx525 I2 not v twin..

@LtGlenn i have an 07. weigh 180 lbs. and have the hardest time imagineable calling it a sportbike. a sportbike to me is an inline 4 cylinder."gsxr, r6" etc. its a v twin semi upright riding position bike. and like a third the horsepower. its a great bike. thats why suzuki hasnt changed much from the late 80s. it would be in the same catagory as the 1989 gs500e. nobody would call that a sportbike. unless they just bought it and want it to sound nice lol.

@samburger077 They served for aerodynamics on the track but people thought they looked cool so that's why. And yeah they are a pain but if you dump the bike without fairings on it the parts take a beating. Fairings act as a shell.

@Newton131313 The F model is also slightly less powerful (by ~5hp) so I think it would come out about the same. I prefer the E myself, because the headlight is connected to the stationary fairings on the F model so it points in the direction the bike is facing rather than where the handlebars are facing. On the E, it's connected to the fork. A small difference, but very nice for twisty roads. I'm also a newb with motorcycles so to me, fairings just means more to scratch if you drop it :)
nice bike born2pawn. im thinking of getting a gs myself.
