man if liam grew a beard like andys and had the same haircut as andys and was a little bit bulkier and if he didnt use the 'afterlife' word too damn often he'd be more than awsome in vengeance believe me i also didnt like the idea of him beeing the new spartacus but after seen 2 episodes it doesnt bother me at all its the fact that he needs to get into the skin of the character but hey the show still ROCKZ baby and thats all dat matters

I know I am in the minority but I really like Liam McIntyre as Spartacus. Andy was the best and I miss him, he made the role and no one can ever play it better. I didn't watch the first episode expecting Liam to be on par with Andy and he wasn't because no one could be. But he did a good job. It was believable. He isn't trying to be Andy he is trying to be Spartacus and I appreciate that. I'm looking forward to more.

Forget this guy he can't cut it. Don't know what the producers were thinking when they selected him. Too small physically, yells all his lines like he's constantly pissed off with no depth and looks awkward and nearly comical in the fight scenes. Commands zero presence on the screen in this role. The show should have ended guys. I won't be watching . Just sad.

Andy Whitfield was a great actor and portrayer of Spartacus. So sad that he is gone now .. that his successor may do as well as he did
