How to EV train guide is here! Please read this description for more information.
----------------------------------------------------------
Note: Yes, I know I didn't mention PokeRus in the video. Generally, there is this thing called PokeRus you can get from battling wild pokemon. In short, it doubles the EVS you get from battling. (so 1 EV would be 2, 2 would be 4, and 6 would be 12). Do not set out to get this as it is very rare and unlikely you'll find it. If you understand how to EV train, you'll understand how this works.

IMPORTANT: There's 510 total EVS, but you are only allowed to use 508 of them for boosting stats, given that you don't use 255 and 255. When you head to the girl in Opelucid city, she may say "try harder" but you should probably get another 2 EVS after your set up. For Example, Our infernape uses 4 HP/252 attack /252 speed, but she will say it's not done. Get another 2 HP EVS and you'll have it done.

Here's some quoted information from my brilliant myth buster Bloodcopper after he did tests:

- You don't need to use level 100 Pokemon to EV train. As long as the guardian Pokemon is EV trained, the EVs will go to the intended Pokemon

- You don't need to target only on specific Pokemon to train on. If the Pokemon gives the same EVs,such as attack, you can keep going. (Patrat and Lillipup, for instance)

- You don't need to train in the stats in any specific order. Just deal with the stat that you need the most EVs for, or whichever is the quickest. Whichever you prefer.

- Power items don't effect meds

- Debatable among the biggest nerds, but if you for some reason have a level 100 that was not EV trained, have no fear, you can still EV train! EV train that level 100 like it was any other pokemon, and it's stats will grow, even though you won't really notice. Blood Copper learned this when he got his Event Arceus, so life's good.

Here are some links for some stuff you could check out:
http://pokemon-online.eu/
A program where you set up your Pokemons stats, abilities, moves, items and more, and compete online across the world! If you are getting into competitive play, be sure to check it out. I have it too, and the link is 100% safe. No unzipping required.
http://pokemon.marriland.com/
A good site for checking a variety of things Pokemon based. Pokedex, team builders, items, and more are in here. It is not my website, it belongs to Marriland, who is on Youtube and far more known than I am.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some locations useful for EV training your Pokemon, known as hotspots. Travel to these spots in B/W to EV train.
Stunfisk - Icirrus City. Go here for HP.
Patrat/Lillipup - Route 1. Go here for ATTACK.
Roggenrola - Cavern by Route 3. Go here for DEFENCE.
Litwick - Celestial Tower. Go here for SPECIAL ATTACK.
Frillish - Route 4, 17, and 18. Go here for SPECIAL DEFENCE.
Basculin - Route 1. Go here for SPEED.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you do not have Pokemon Black and white but do have Pokemon Platinum, head to these places:
Bidoof - Route 201 - HP
Machop - Route 207 - ATK
Geodude - Route 207 (same area as Machop). DEF
Gastly - Haunted house place - SP. ATK
Tentacool - While surfing near Pastoria City. SP. DEF
Magikarp - Trainer on Bridge near Eterna Forest. Has a whole team of Magikarp - SPEED

The song is from the game Sonic Unleashed, and is an extended version by BrawlBTRSMs for 15 Minutes 30 seconds. You should check him out.

  • Actually, Roggenrola gives off defense and attack evs. If you want an attack and defense (physical) and also a good amount of exp, kill Durants, Pupitars, etc.

  • @torindude2011 :/

I just checked, Roggenrola actually gives you one def EV. Gigalith gives you attack and defence (or just defence.)

Nick, you should know that you really should EV train first before you get a whole bunch of experience, since it's easier to track. I state the easy way.

And no, I checked again, Durant only gives defence. Pupitar does give attack, but it's not commonplace enough yo EV train on, as you could very likely finish EV training in attack with Patrat.

  • @torindude2011 Also, before this becomes a huge fight (it doesn't need to be), but I'll test your theory, and see if my (insert pokemon here) gets attack AND defence. If you're right, I'll post it in the video.

  • @kingLorshi so we were both wrong. lol

  • @torindude2011 What was I wrong about? All I said was that Roggenrola does not give attack EVS, Durant gives Defence. Pupitar's incredibly rare If' not mistaken...

Here's two things that my brilliant mythbuster, Bloodcopper, found out, and you may already know... Maybe. If you're ev training in one stat, such at attack, you don't need to kill only one select pokemon, you can kill patrat and lillipup, so it's easier.

If you have a power bracer for Roggenrola the EV's split. :/

  • @torindude2011 *EPIC FACEPALM*

Yeah, woops, Roggenrola gives off one defence. >.<

As for Durant/EV ness than I'm sure I double-checked that... XD

  • @kingLorshi pokemon marriland: gigalith gives u 3 attack evs, 0 defense evs.

  • @85evilmonkey Then again, your level one newborns don't need a whole lot. It's tedious, but gets the job done. :/

  • you cant be serious... i have to kill patrats? its like 2exp each T-T

  • @shinypandahmuffin Well, if the pokemon was given to you and it got experience (as in the level met was higher than the level you got it at) then there's a problem right there.

In fact, go for Stunfisk as an HP raiser as it is more common and easy to take down.
