Whether they do it on purpose or not I still love how subtle qualities from the book are added into the series. Like in here: in the books, Confessors have long, flowing hair to show their power and authority and Denee had that in the first episode. Now in this one, her hair is short, something that would be worse than death for a Confessor. Wether it's on purpose or not, it still makes my day.

It the books, killing a male Confessor was much more brutal. They put a rod on it's neck, and step on it. :\

@baraxor I'm glad you agree about Serena. But I don't think it would've put a bad light on the season finale at all. Here's why. If the writers had gone with my idea about bad parenting, it wouldn't have necessarily painted Kahlan as a bad mother to *her* son, Nicholas. It just means that Nicholas went psycho because he had Darken Rahl for a father.
