VANCOUVER - February 9, 2010 - Former Canadian downhill ace Todd Brooker, whose career came to a crashing halt over 20 years ago on the feared Streif downhill in Kitzbuhel, Austria, was spotted outside a hotel in dowtown Vancouver on Tuesday getting ready to jump into a van headed up to Whistler where he'll be working as the alpine ski commentator for NBC. Cansport's Ron Scammell, on his way out of the the Main Press Centre, noticed Brooker, who he hadn't seen since his days covering the World Cup circuit in Europe, and got a few quick comments on the eve of the men's Olympic downhill this weekend in Whistler.
You're lookin' good Todd. I'm in Florida for the winter, but keeping in touch through you and the Olympics!
We need s'more hardware!
