Funny Bookselling Moment

I love Sign543's Bookstore series cus its all true!!! Maybe I can talk my co-workers into letting me borrow some of their customer stories and I'll make a series of my own...hmmmm...

Yeah I thought it was pretty funny, but maybe you had to be there. Please excuse my language again.
The best way to prevent this sort of thing from happening to you...if you have ordered something with a suggestive title...try saying, "Hello, My name is Jane Doe and I have the book, Skinny B*&#% on hold" as opposed to "I have a book on hold, Skinny B*&#%" It may prevent an awkward situation... : )

We also keep track of how many people actually pick up their orders. That's why we take a name and enter in an order number at the register. Just a little look into the world of bookselling!

that's good to know! yeah people crack me up. they say you're not supposed to use real names for things...like people aren't gonna be able to figure it out anyway. i'm starting to think people are just funny and weird in general!

but this story just cracked me up...mines are just scary...old homeless guys taking a shower in the sink or masturbating to magazines in the bathroom...

booksellers don't get paid enough for this :)

haha yeah i have come across a few things i certainly wish i hadn't...they had to throw another flasher out of the store the other day. that was delightful let me tell you!

That is so true. I spent 3 years working at a comic book store ... we had some strange ones wandering in. :)
