@YayHeaven hi i have been wanting to get a seahorse for a while and i have a few questions. one where do you get salt water i live nowhere near the ocean and i dont think mixing salt and water will work out right. also how would you take care of it so that it would be happy like tank size food they eat or like the best etc.

What kind of hitch toys are those? I was thinking of getting baby toys for my seahorse tank once it fully cycles/matures...

@ices0lidmlg Thanks for asking. The colored one is actually a toy from the bird toy section of the pet store. The other hanging one is a hydrometer. Best wishes to you with your seahorses!!!

HEy does seahorses allow you to "pet" them or touch them and can you train them to wrap their tail around your baby finger ? that will be cool
MegaRatat 11 months ago
@MegaRatat in my case they did. One in particular would hitch to my finger, and let me take her on my own personal tour of the tank. If they are raised from babies in your tank they will also eat from your hand when training them to eat frozen foods. It generally isn't advised with older seahorses because we will often not share immunities. But always, ALWAYS buy them captive bred only!

"Gas Bubble Disease (GBD). There are three main types of GBD, internal GBD (IGBD), external GBD (EGBD) and pouch emphysema. Treatment typically consists of 3 things: making sure there are no air bubbles getting into the system, treating with an antibiotic, and if available (only by prescription) treating with diamox. The actual bubbles under the skin may be popped, and with pouch emphysema the pouch should be evacuated"

I have been taking care of seahorses for 15 years. I appreciate the information. I'm very familiar with the process of care.
