  • I was given 2 plastic barrels that were used to store diesel fuel. Is there a way to completely clean the diesel fuel out of these barrels?

  • @TheMysteryGardener - Diesel fuel can be mean stuff. Better find out what your local codes mandate, this is probably considered a hazardous waste item. You don't want to just wash them out ith water and dump it on the ground ro down the drain. Sorry not much help.

  • What is a good mix for creating an active compost pile in one of these tumblers. I tried some mixes I found on youtube, but I never got the "Two week" turn around on the compst. I may have let it get too dry, not sure???

  • How long do these barrels last? Does the plastic break down in the sun after a few years?

  • @lesandnate - I've noticed that the sun did make the barrels warp some, but they still work fine and it has been one year since I started using them.
